The Institute of Creativity.

Most creativity research happens in psychology departments with undergraduate volunteers. We want to study it where it actually happens: in the work of people making things.

What we are building

The Institute is our research arm. The intent is to run first-hand studies into how creative thinking develops, which interventions transfer to real work, and what practising people actually experience.

Planned work

  • A controlled trial of the Gletch practice itself, published whichever way the results fall.
  • A longitudinal study of creative practice habits across professions.
  • An open dataset on creative work patterns, for other researchers to use.
